Just Us Cat and Kitten Rescue to Host Fundraiser

For the first time in three years the Just Us Cat and Kitten Rescue, a 501 C3 non profit,  will host a fundraiser on Sunday, September 25, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the 1776 Steakhouse. 1776 will donate 25% of their proceeds to Just Us; there will be an auction and 50-50.  Just Us merchandize, t-shirts, mugs and note cards, will be available for purchase.

Just Us  was formed in 2006, its mission to manage cat and kitten communities in eastern Sussex County.  An all-volunteer organization, Just Us serves by performing a variety of functions including  rescue, foster, trap, spay/neuter and return.  Just Us also hosts, along with Catnippers of Long Neck, monthly low cost vaccine clinics.  Volunteers socialize and feed feral colonies, bottle feed when necessary and of course Just Us will try to find a home for every adoptable cat or kitten.   Volunteers are always needed to foster and even bottle feed, training will be provided, formula as well. 

Just Us works closely  with the Brandywine SPCA, local rescue groups and  a large no kill shelter in Maryland that accepts adoptable cats and kittens.   Volunteers also operates a Wednesday program at the Brandywine SPCA in Georgetown to evaluate cats and kittens for adoption. Strict standards and protocols are in place to ensure that all cats and kittens taken into the program can be safely adopted.
