Save the Date for the annual fundraiser: October 30, 2025!
Just Us Cat and Kitten Rescue, a 501 c3 non-profit, will host its annual fundraiser on Thursday, October 30 at the 1776 Steakhouse. There will be two dinner seatings: the first from 4 to 6pm and the second from 6:30 to 8:30. Each seating will feature a 50/50 raffle and silent auction items, plus some fun door prizes! Exciting raffle prizes are offered too. Reservations are required, especially if you have a preferred seating time. 1776 will not be taking reservations; call Sharon Robertson at 215-767-0148 for reservations. 1776 Steakhouse will generously donate 25% of their proceeds to Just Us. The fundraiser is a cash/check event. The cost of food is separate from the fundraiser and is payable to 1776, credit cards accepted.
Just Us has partnered with the Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA) and is offering 3 raffles with proceeds benefitting Just Us’s weekly spay/neuter program through BVSPCA. Raffle prizes this year include: 2 tickets to see the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Washington Commanders at the Linc on the last weekend of the season (January 3 or 4, 2026), value $2,800, in a private suite with food and beverages provided, courtesy of Turner Construction; a cruise for 2 to Bermuda, for 6 days on Royal Caribbean out of Baltimore, value $3,000, courtesy of Frank Echols and Where 2 Next Travel (where2nextravel.com) and a $1,000 Amazon gift card.
All raffle tickets are available for $20 each through Judy Kane, and can be purchased at the Just Us/Catnippers vaccine clinics September 14 and October 12 (visit the Just Us Facebook page for information), at Bark on the Boards on October 18 (bvspca.org/events), and during the fundraiser. Just Us was founded in 2006, its mission to manage cat and kitten communities in Sussex County. An all-volunteer organization, Just Us serves by performing a variety of functions including rescue, foster, trap, spay/neuter and return. During 2025, through July, Just Us has spayed/neutered 505 cats and kittens at no or low cost. The adoption of 357cats and kittens has been facilitated and over 350 have been vaccinated at our low-cost vaccine clinics so far this year.
